“Snitch” is a typical action/drama with the look and feel of an ordinary TV movie. In other words it isn’t really a groundbreaking or impressive film. It’s as if Dwayne Johnson is omnipresent nowadays when it’s about movies. But don’t expect him demonstrating his muscles a lot or beating up some poor opponents in this film. On the contrary, he is being beaten up by a gang of tiny drug dealers. Not something you’re used to see when it’s about Dwayne Johnson.
Apparently it’s based on true facts. This doesn’t make it more interesting or more surprising. It’s the same story that has been told countless times in other films about a small misstep of a young person which has enormous consequences. The fact that a simple owner of a transport company can infiltrate a well-secured and organized drug cartel in such a simple way, made me frown my eyebrows. Can’t this tactic be applied on a large scale globally ? In that way, most drugs related problems would be solved. Just one tiny thing I should mention : the acting performance of “The Rock” was admirable.
